The really long room with all the sofas in it was badly laid out. Why the look of a very elongated doctors waiting room. Arrange the sofas in grouping not all along either side of the room. The sofas were also cheap low level lounging things, the likes of those from Ikea. The 4 wicker style chairs by the garden exit were so damn hard with a loose seat cover on them, hardly comfortable once again, myself and the American guests all commented on this together. Get some proper furniture that is comfortable for guests to use. Yes, it is a garden tour, but we do expect comfort and it wasn’t there. Much better host facilities in terms of accommodation are required. The ladies that did the cooking were wonderful, delicious food, really good, no fault whatsoever. Breakfast was boringly repetitive although I asked and got some bananas. I appreciate that given we have loads of delicious food on the tour you may not want a cooked breakfast, you just couldn’t manage that after the lovely food in the evening, there are things like a yoghurt fruit and chia seed pudding, fruit platter etc…. All the chat from Simon when we were walking around gardens was great, he really knows his stuff. Simon and Jason were so convivial they made the tour a delight. Lots of fun insightful chat. We had a small group of people, I’m glad we did, I think it was all the better for that small group rather than 16 or so people, it personally suited me. Recommended the tour to friends.
